6.1.1 DOMESTIC MAIL — THE USE OF POSTAL STATIONERY

The only type of postal stationery used by the Polish Post in Gdańsk was a small range of postal stationery cards, the first of which was not issued until 1 February 1934. Just as the use of Polish stamps was permitted by the Polish Post in Gdańsk, so also was the use of Polish postal stationery.

Below: Polish postal stationery card of the October 1927 issue sent from Gdańsk to Kielce. POLSKI URZAD P.-T. GDAŃSK No 1 cds 20.4.28. On 1 December 1927 the postage for postcards had Been raised from 10 to 15 groszy. Therefore 5 groszy in Port Gdańsk stamps were added.
