FORGERY NO. DR-16
1. Lithographic forgery of unknown origin.
2. All letters are plump and too short.
3. Color in side view is Prussian blue, with light dull metallic finish.
4.First stroke of a enters letter too low (is non-tangental).
5. Bottom stroke of n is too strong.
6. The z Is too heavy at top, point in middle is too sharp; lower loop is too sharp.
7. Dot of I has left-shifted.
8. Top of g without extension; top opening is too small
Known only in blue ink.

FORGERY NO. DR-17
1. Typographic forgery.
2. First leg of n is too long; right leg is not parallel and leans slightly to the right.
3. The z has a very long top part; lower loop is very sharp and too low.
4. Lower loop of g has thin line at left, thick line at right and bottom.
5. Horizontal bar line is 2.3 mm high instead of 2.0 mm of genuine print.
6. Shows only on ‘trial print” 15 Pfg. brown- lilac stamp.
Origin unknown. Color. black-blue and crackly finish.

1. Typographic forgery.
2. All lower-case letters somewhat too high.
3. The I) is smaller; bottom is flat.
4. The loop of the a is too high
5. Back of the g is straight.
6. Horizontal bar lines are not parallel.
Found with blue and red overprints. Place of origin is not known.
