From the ARGE
Thanks to Karl Kniep and the others of the Danzig ARGE who contributed to this study of the Pfennig values of the Freimarkenserie which began in 1924. The plates initially were made at Druckerie Sauer in Danzig, the printing was first made at the Danziger Postdruckerei, and later (with watermarked swastikas, WZ.5) in the Reichsdruckerei Berlin.

Dienstmarken with small to larger curved lines between Freie and Stadt.

e./f. Feld 81: Plate flaw (notch) in i of Freie. Also known in Deutsches Reich #722.

g. Feld 4: Break in oval line above S of Stadt. The small streak under lower cross is from stamp ink.

h. Michel #201 — 75 Pfg., Feld 31: Small line underside of D. Also known on 4229.

i. Feld_: Outgrowth on D and small dot in a of Danzig.
