Port Gdansk Zeppelin Mail 1932-1933
(Dedicated to Mr. A. Pihirzy t1993)
By HANS VOGELS

Zeppelin covers, sent through the Polish Post in the Freie Stadt Danzig in 1932 and 1933, are rare and valuable items in any Danzig, Port Gdatask or Zeppelin collection. It is true that they were “made” by philatelists, like most zeppelin covers from other countries, and “hardliners” often hesitate putting them in their Danzig or Port GdazIsk collections because of this. Others are fascinated by the fact that, in spite of all official regulations, it was possible to send mail by Zeppelin through the Polish Post in Danzig. The fact that they are quite rare and have a high value

This article tells the short story of the Zeppelin mail that was sent through the Polish post in the Freie Stadt Danzig in 1932 and 1933.
