Two Essays were prepared on thick white chalky paper in black ink with India-ink retouching. Both values were mounted on perforated cardboard backing. The 1000 and 5000 Mark values were not issued.
- Imperforate 50 Mark orange with vertical watermark (Wz. 3X).
- Imperforate 500 Mark lilac-red with gray rosette underprint on vertical webbing watermarked paper (Wz. 3X).
- 25 Mark black proof imperforate on tick white chalky paper.
- 25 Mark in black with India-ink retouching on thick white chalky paper on perforated cardboard backing.
- 1000 Mark black essay on white thick white chalky paper mounted on perforated cardboard backing.
- 5000 Mark black essay on white thick white chalky paper mounted on perforated cardboard backing.
