12 May 1923. Registered (POLECONE) official (SPRAWA SŁUŻBOWA) letter sent by the Polish Postal Management Office in Danzig to
the Ministry for Posts in Warszawa. The first registration handstamp of the Polish Post in Danzig POLSKI URZ. POCZT. No 1 w
GDAŃSKU on this letter is the only recorded example. WARSZAWA 1 arrival cds 13 May 1923 on the reverse.

On 5 June 1921 the Polish government decided to establish the DYREKCJA POCZTA TELEGRAFÓW RZECZYPOSPOLITEJ POLSKIEJ W GDAŃSKU (Postal and Telegraphic Management Office of the Polish Republic in Danzig), responsible for the management of the Polish postal institutions in the Free City of Danzig area only.

8 March 1923. Official parcel card for 5 bags filled with empty mail bags sent insured
by the Main Postal Materials Warehouse in Warszawa to the Polish Postal Management in Danzig. On the reverse the rare POLSKI URZĄD POCZTOWY No 1 GDAŃSK c 21 March 1923
arrival datestamp that was used in the Management Office.
