5.1.2 DOMESTIC MAIL – POSTAL SERVICES

Bulk sendings of printed matter of
the same size and weight could be sent
cash prepaid with discounts according
to volume. Such mail was endorsed
OPŁACONO GOTÓWKĄ (paid in
cash) plus a percentage figure
indicating the proportion of normal
postage payable. In case the minimum
amount was not sent, the normal postal
rate without discount could be paid in
cash.

15 June 1936. Bulk printed matter sent
from Danzig to Lipno. Printed
Opłacono gotówką and manuscript
70%, applicable to the 30% discount
band for 500-1.000 items, valid
between 1 October 1934 and 31
August 1939.

18 September 1934. Printed matter sent
from Danzig to Lwów. Single-line
OPŁACONO GOTÓWKĄ printed on the
cover and an additional handstamp 40%
applicable to the 60% discount band for
more than 1.000 items valid between 16
August 1932 and 30 September 1934.

5 December 1935. Printed matter sent
from Danzig to Muszyna. Triple-line
Opłacono gotówką 50% handstamp,
applicable to the 50% discount band for
more than 10.000 items valid between 1
October 1934 and 31 August 1939.
