October 1, Postage Due issue was overprinted with higher values in black wirh bars covering the old value by Julius Sauer, Danzig. Values in both a sooty black and a shiny black overprint were overprinted on this dark violet-purple issue.

- 50000 on 500 Mark, Sooty overprint.
- 5000 on 50 Mark, Glossy overprint.
- 10000 on 20 Mark, Glossy overprint.

- 100000 on 20 Mark, Glossy overprint.

Imperforate values with the sooty black overprint were printed, but were not regularly issued in this form. Here are the three values as printed on the dark violet-purple issue.
