Registered forwarded cover of 5.3.39 with Mi.#306-308, 290 with censor strike “Prufstelle Danzig” and censor tape on back stating that the cover was opened for currency in section. Note that the word‘Freie Stadt” has been drawn :-through on the censor tape.( Five days after leaving Danzig I post office, it arrived at its unexpected destination in the town of Wadern.
On the next two pages: Bill Ruh sends a follow—up of his studies of coil stamps on cover We are pleased to include more prints in the DANZIG FOLIO SERIES. These were recently brought from Gdansk by member Dan Press as a set of post cards that resemble woodcuts.
In the last Report we saw a watercolor of the Stockturm and the Golden gate in the foreground. Dan’s cards show beautiful renderings of Krantor and the Church of St. Jacob.
