The Schleswig-Holstein :

About the Artist - Marcin Dudek :

Marcin Dudek is a name that was already familiar to our Danzig Study Group, having been let on an expedition to Gdynia, in search of flak towers that are still standing, about a decade ago. At that time, Marcin, a guide friend of Donna's proved to be an expert in things historical when related to Danzig. After all this time, there are still details to be learned about flak towers, but have moved on to studying the Kriegsmarine's role in the Bamtic Region. The final battles raged on the Hel (as the Germans spelled the Polish 'Hela') Peninsula. And the nationality of the peninsula appears to be mainly Polish. The beaches have seen Polish, German, ans finaly, Soviet patrols, until Lech Walesa with Solidarity speede the area's return to Poland and Democracy. The words on a wall in giant capital letters at Westerplatte "NIE WIEDER" - NEVER AGAIN !
