We are pleased to inform you that we have uploaded the first 35 issues of the A.S.D.P. (Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Sammler Danziger Postwertzeichen im In- und Auslande) magazines.
My good friend HaJo has been so kind to provide me with those issues of the A.S.D.P. magazines. We have uploaded the first 35 issues from his extended catalogue and documentation. All of them have been scanned and uploaded in order to give you a useful first impression from our early Danzig collectors. You will find a lot of text and early knowledge as well discoveries of the Danzig philately in those magazines which first issue was 5th of March 1936. You will find on the original first issues handwritten remarks, facts and notes, early drawings of the cancels of Gerhard Schuller, Kurt Holtz, Wilhelm Marx, Grönke, Michel, Benedict and others. In total we may say that all first discoveries are in our hands, early information of those days, who are today not all the time mentioned any more, so for those who are really interested take your chance. The first 10 issues had been uploaded already last year, due to lack of time only recently the remaining 25 magazines have been added on the website. Parts of the texts had and have been already added, which gives a better concept for reading. The remaining texts will be added as soon as possible. There is some delay but it all takes a lot of time and effort.
Go to the first 35 issues A.S.D.P. and have fun.
Also with this occasion my great thanks and respect towards Gerhard Simon who has been so friendly and consistent to take care for all the typewriting he has done for this immense object, yes some 600 pages have been manually typed, a great bravo and thanks to Gerhard for his effort and appreciated help.
By the way: a request to our Danzig collectors and specialists. If you have similar material for enriching this website, always welcome to send me texts and or articles, feel free to contact me. Especially I look for Danzig related articles of the “Briefmarken Rundschau” as you probably have noticed 1920 and 1921 are complete. You will find some 250 articles with various objects and interests. Visit the early and update your knowledge of Briefmarken Rundschau 1920 and 1921 on Briefmarken Rundschau.
The years as from 1923 are still missing so if you have numbers of those missing newspapers, which where weekly a “Beilage der Danziger Zeitung”, please contact me.
Also the “Der Loupe” Philatelic Magazine is missing completely. If you have all or some of those numbers, much obliged you can help us to make this website more and more of interest and attractive for all of us.

Also a tremendous and interesting collection of Burleage varieties on the Germania stamps who are after overprint used in the Free City Danzig postage. There is a lot to be learned of this rather rare but also very interesting and not daily area of our hobby.
Click here to enter the exhibit Danzig The Germania Burelage Issue directly, this exhibit is in Eglish. All of us may benefit from the know-how, the descriptions and the nice material shown here.
We wish you a lot of fun and interesting hours of examination, studying or just browsing these interesting areas. Enjoy and also enjoy the other materials shown on this website.

Everything you wanted to know about this philatelic exhibition can be exlusively found in one total packet, an opportunity for everyone who is interested in this fascinating subject. There is a large number of articles covering the Luposta 1932 Exhibition and Fair which was a great introduction of airmail philately in the Free City Danzig towards collectors as well as an effort to atract tourists in those rather poor years.
You will find the following booklets such as Luposta Nr. 1 November 1931, Luposta Nr. 2 April 1932, Luposta Nr. 3 Juni 1932, Luposta Werbe-Ball 30 Januar 1932, Führer durch die Luposta Danzig, Luposta Bericht der Preisrichter, Luposta Hans Georg Mencke, Luposta Ronny van Waardhuizen (English translation), and Luposta Miscellaneous. Also under Collections you will find a nice collection of Zeppelin covers, included Luposta. Enjoy this rare uportunity to improve and widen your knowledge.
We have uploaded some most interesting articles and subjects from the early days of the Free City Danzig philately, such as descriptions of stamps, a wide choice of cancels, dates, Postoffices, the first errors and rare plate faults, the early steps and development of the first “Free City Danzig” katalogue, and a general information all concerning the development of information for the collectors those early days.
Such as Stempel des Hauptpostamtes, Entlastungsstempel, Danziger Gebührenstempel, Absenderfreistempel, Danziger Firmenlochungen, and Danzig nach 1945 click here in order to be connected straight to those interesting conclusions, writings and articles. Still today you will find information that is not always repeated for the knowledge in the actual catalogues, wanted by the enthusiasts of our philatelists. Hope you may enjoy those developments and research of the first Danzig colectors and in special Gerhard Schüler.
We are proud to inform you that the last 5 years (2003 to 2007) of The Danzig Report, the magazine of the Danzig Study Group, Baltimore, U.S.A., edited by John Bloecher, have been added to the website.
We have started putting some Danzig exhibits and collections online. If you have a Danzig or German related exhibit or collection please feel free to contact us to explore the possibility of also putting it online this to increase the Danzig and German philately.

We have added an extra website of Danzig Lochungen at http://www.lochungen.danzig.org (in the Main Menu under Our Links). In English they are known as Perfins (a contraction of PERForated INitials). Peter Witkop has done a lot of efforts in order to bring one part of his collection under the eyes of our members and others who are interested in this fascinating subject.
The idea is to have a wider knowledge of these Lochungen, as this part of this specific Danzig philately is rather unknown and far from complete. Click the link in the menu to enter Danzig Lochungen. General or specific information is very welcome as well, so feel free to take contact directly with Peter Witkop (email@example.com).
Your own collection(s) can be added to this website as well, this can be any object, small or large, as long it concerns Danzig, Danzig District (Bezirk), Free City Danzig and Gdansk.
There are some 20 magazines of the Danzig Gruppe covering the years 1992 to
2002. The magazines are only in Danish but nevertheless we see that a lot of
Interest is there for reading or seeing them. Some of the scans are not
perfect, but it will improve with the time.
The club Danzig Gruppe and its magazine Danzig Nyt (Danzig News) existed
from 1992 until 2002. The club’s activities were started by Curt Hosny but
unfortunately due to insufficient assistance he decided to stop the club
that was covering mainly Scandinavian members and collectors.
If you have other magazines like the ones shown here please contact me
through this website Danzig.org or send me scans on 150 DPI and I will be
happy to add it on this website.
I’m proud to announce that I have the Briefmarken Rundschau of 1920 and 1921 complete in a book form. The only problem was that there was
just no time for writing down all those articles of interest. Nevertheless our friend Gerhard Simon, also known as our fastest and best typewriter artist in the ArGe, has been so kind to help me and all the members as well as others in spreading the knowledge. A great, warm and personal Thank You Very Much for those 260 articles.
Again a great thanks to Gerhard Simon for this tremendous work, you will find some 260 articles, bigger and smaller under Articles -> Danzig Philately -> Briefmarken Rundschau. The Briefmarken Runschau articles are only available in German.
Do you have similar articles of Philatelic magazines concerning Danzig Territory? Please do contact me through the website and we will be pleased to add them to the website. This can be in English, German and/or Polish.
