DANZIG REPORT  -  -  STUDY and RESEARCH GROUP

Editor: John H. Bloeecher Jr. , 1743 Little Creek Drive, Baltimore, Md. 21207

This issue of the Report should be rigtt down the alley of many who have requested an article on Postage Dues. Thìs is one area of study that can be accomplished for minimum cost, as Bud Hennig points out.

Some have expressed an interest in the method of reproducing the Report and, since it may help in planning your exhibits for GPS/BALPEX in August, we’re glad to, pass along the information. This body copy is typed on a standard SC electric, pasted-up with headlines in C-Thru1 Deca-dry or Chartpak dry transfer lettering. (The type is transfered from a transparent sheet by : rubbing the topside with a pencil, letter by letter.) : Bold headlines, j” or larger, are lift-off vinyl pre-cut letters by Quik Stik. These black areas could be softened by an overlay of Chartpak shading film, or a soft gray tint could be applied by a 10% or darker ; positive screen. Printing is by a3—Mi Model VQC IiI.“ copier, which does a good job on black areas.

Now that you know how to prepare the art work, fill out the enclosed prospectus an er’iter your exhibit while we still have time. Baltimore Chapter 16 is busy planning the GPS/BALPEX meeting over the Labor Day weekend. Our Study Group will meet during this convention and we look forward to seeing you there. Watch the articles in the Specialist for details.

If you haven't had a chance to send in your $3.00 dues. please do so. It will go a long way in future Reports.

A question of a Danzig Auction has been brought up by 2 members, and is open for discussion. Peter Pheuss of Toronto has offered his services. What interests you?

Perhaps a column on Wants and Offers could help us. Let us know what Danzig stamps or material you need or have to trade and we can print these in a future issue.
