Danzig Dispatches on LZ126/ZRIII/ Los Angeles - WHERE ARE THEY?

[Bud Hennig has been working on his Danzig collection and asks for the following information:]

On the 12th of October, 1924, the Zeppelin ZR III left Germany for the United States. It was sent to the U.S. as World War I reparations.

It carried much mail, among which were Danzig dispatches, carrying Danzig stamps to pay the postage.

Each item received the hand stamp “Forwarded with the Airship ZRIII” Some mail was dropped over Angra (Azores), but it is not known whether Danzig dispatches were among that drop-mail.

The regulations concerning mail on that flight were as follows:
