Above: Expres letter sent from Gdańsk to Tczew. POLSKI URZĄD POCZTOWY GDAŃSK 2a cds 17.8.38. Handwritten annotation Wyjęto z skrzynki 17/VIII (taken from the letter-box) and a TCZEW 1g arrival cds 17.8.38 on the reverse. This datstamp was used from 1937 until May 1939. The letter shows clearly that mail with Gdańsk 2 datestamps came from the letter-boxes at the railway station
Below: Picture postcard sent from Gdańsk to Warszawa with the single-ring datestamp POLSKI URZĄD POCZTOWY GDAŃSK 2 b 18.6.39. This datestamp was used in the Railway Station Post Office from May 1939 until September 1939.
