- Bill of Exchange stamps (Free State)

These stamps were affixed to Bills of Exchange to denote their value.

Once again the basic stamp has no value designation,necessitating overprinting of the value. When the currency changed to Gulden in 1924 previously overprinted values were overprinted again with the new currency value. Thus in the listings below the first colour ascribed to each stamp is that of the ruling value description followed, where appropriate. by the colour of the previous value description and finishing with the stamp design colour.
