Danzig's incorporation into the German Reich.
Gigantic crowd meets on 19 April 1919 in support of Danzig's incorporation into the German Reich. Thousands gathered at the monument to Wilhelm the First at the High Gate to express their dissatisfaction with the decision "made during the negotiations in Versailles" to re-establish Danzig and its surroundings as a free city again.
