DANZIG - 1997
In April, amid snow showers and spurts of sunshine, the Gdañsk philatelic organizations opened an exhibit in the building next to (and east of) the Artushof. Space in the 15 x 15- meter room was limited, but 10,000 people were accomodated on Sunday, the 20th. With inspiration, the committee asked the hostesses in the Artus to invite the crowds through the door that separates the two buildings and up the stairs to the exhibit, resulting in a packed house of old and brand-new philatelists, some of whom may have been wondering what it’s all about.
