6.1.1 DOMESTIC MAIL — THE USE OF POSTAGE STAMPS

Above: Registered, express letter sent in 1935 from Gdańsk to Lubawa with a 1 złoty stamp with overprint PORT GDAŃSK. The rare boxed registration handstamp GDAŃSK 1e was used only from July 1933 until May 1935 and was then replaced, probably due to damage, by a handstamp with the same identification letter but with a narrow "R". 25 groszy for the letter, 30 groszy for registration and 50 groszy express fee. POLSKI URZĄD POCZT-TEL GDAŃSK 1 C cds 4.4.35, LUBAWA c 5.4.35 arrival cds on the reverse.
Below: Registered postcard sent poste restante from Gdańsk to Gdynia. POLSKI URZĄD POCZT.-TEL. GDAŃSK 1 e cds 15.9.36 and a boxed registration handstamp with automatic numbering GDAŃSK 1e. 15 groszy for the postcard, 30 groszy for registration and 10 groszy for poste restante.
