Michel Trends Danzig Prices from 1987 - 1989
15BDD with double overprint, was DM 4000.- from 1979 to 1987, 5000.— in 1988 and 6500.— in 1989.

HAN marks for Nos. 32 thru 39 increased considerably. For example, No. 39 went from l,000.-** to 1100.- and 1350.- now.

None of the prices for the first airmail set (50 to 52) have changed, and the Innendienst set (47 to 49)has advanced modestly in a spotty pattern.

What happened to 7211? Back in 1987 and 1988 it was listed at 5000.—; in 1989 it disappeared from the catalog.

The 5OMk gold/red/gray large format 1922 issue No. lOOXa was 100.—* and l80.—** in both 1987 and 1988. It is now 250.—* and 500.—**, and a used copy jumped from 270.— to 750.—!

No. 1501, with the fourth 0 open, is listed at 14.-**, up from 12.— and 13.— in previous years.

Further study in the Inflation period shows No. 163 on cover rising in increments of 280.—, 400.— and finally 480.—, while No. 168 hardly moves.

No. 180F, the 5 Millionen overprint with the 10,000 cliche, went from 60.—* and llO.—** to 175.—* and 325.—**. The illustration of the normal 180 and special 180F was dropped.

The post-Inflation Nos. 1821 thru 1921 are represented in 12 varieties, up from only five in previous editions. For those who collect cork—stamp cancels, this variety has increased in value for Nos. 189 thru 192 between 1987 and 1988, but they remain unchanged for 1989.

No change in the defiriitives of 1924-1938 (193—201), nor are the Rollenzohnung Nos. 193-194 changed.

A nice increase was experienced by No. 20611 (the broken G in field 41), moving from 200.—** to 300.—**. No. 206111 (broad format) has gone from 200.-** to 250.- then to 300.— in 1989.

RAN numbers from Nos. 233 thru 242b show a 15%+ increase.

Only No. 259 has shown signs of shrinking in price.

DAPOSTA sheets remain steady; Block 3 increases by about 12%.

The first set (1921) of Dienstmarken remain stable, but prices increase slightly for 1922. But — what happened to D3OZ with watermark 4 (124Z)? It disappeared in 1989.

No. D16Y (DM with horizontal watermark) has leaped from 30.- used in 1987 to 150.— used in 1989. Also, the same stamp on cover rose from 240.— in 1987 to 800.- in 1989!

D441 (same basic stamp as No. 2141) has increased from 150. —* and 270.-** to 175.-* and 300.-**. But, what happened to D51DD, the l7Pfg. with double overprint? It has left us.

Postage dues generally held to the 1987 prices.
