6.1.3 DOMESTIC MAIL — OFFICIAL MAIL

On 1 August 1933, special stamps were issued in Poland for use on official mail. For normal official mail a reduced rate of 1 grosz had to be paid, for registered official mail 2 groszy. There were two different types of stamps: for norma! mail ZWYCZAJNA and for registered mail POLECONA. No special official stamps were issued for the Polish Post in Gdańsk.

Normal and registered letters from the Polish diplomatic representative in the Free City with the different Polish official stamps. POLSKI URZĄD POCZTOWO-TEL. GDAŃSK 1u cds 3.10.33, POLSKI URZĄD P.-T. GDAŃSK 1t cds 30.1.34 and TORUŃ 1m arrival cds 31.1.34 on the reverse.
