Five additional examples of Mi. #51I. The lightly inked D illustrates most clearly the details of the main gouge, but it also indicates the possibility of a break in the trailing edge of the top wing. Illustration B also shows a similar break, but this one is in a different location. Comparing D with the lower print on the previous page, we see that the “tongue” of metal in the gouge on Page 2 has disappeared in D. Also, the lower left point of the gouge in E does not seem as sharp as in the other six illustrations. Overinking always presents a problem in determining the actual shapes, but the Sheet No. 1 copy on Page 2 shows a notch in the top part of the gouge. Check your copies.
